About the Website

If you're on this website, you're probably a beginning language educator like myself. No matter what language, what grade level, if you're still in school or if you already have your own classroom, I think we can all agree that it can be very difficult to know just what we're doing sometimes; what the best practice is, where to find resources, knowing the best techniques or approaches... it can be really confusing and frustrating at times! Many people discuss the difficulty of being a first year teacher, but last semester, as I was searching for topics for my honors capstone project, I found myself wanting to do something about those first year challenges instead of just talk about them, especially for second language teachers. In order to help both others and myself, I decided to create a website that focuses on the four main areas that beginning language teachers struggle with or find lack of resources in. Each category contains different techniques, activities, and resources to give you more support and feel confident in that area as you begin or continue to teach.
